How to Study

Visualize

In Physics, when you learn about the properties of things, try to imagine playing with them in your head. For example, when you are studying about viscous fluids, imagine what would happen if you drop a steel ball in a viscous fluid versus dropping it in tap water.

In Geography, when you read about tectonic plates, visualize every detail given to you in the text.

Not everything can be visualized

Not everything can be easily imagined in the head. For example, history.

Writing Notes

Write down the key points of a chapter. Go through them at the end of the day. Go through them again when studying for exams. Writing helps remembering.

Find your own style

Everyone has their own way of learning. When you find yourself remembering something you learned, figure out how you learned it. What made remembering it easy.

Spelling

For English, if you learn phonetics, you can spell most words easily. Look at each letter of the alphabet and pronounce it by itself. For example, "A" makes the sound "uh" (read quickly). "B" makes the sound "buh".
